Pianist, organist and harpsichordist Carolyn S. Morgan received her master’s degree from Peabody Conservatory and has held professorships at New Mexico Highlands University, Wells College in New York, and Florida International University.
After winning first place in the North Carolina Symphony auditions, she toured with the orchestra, performing the Prokofiev First Piano Concerto. Carolyn and her duet partner embarked on a U.S. State Department tour of Spain, in which they performed works by American composers. They performed this program for their Carnegie Recital Hall debut and subsequently recorded the duets for the Musical Heritage Society label.
In the spring of 2005, she was piano soloist with the Delray Beach Chorale in Beethoven’s Fantasia for Piano, Chorus, and Orchestra, and she was choral accompanist for the Delray Beach Chorale for 13 years.
Carolyn serves as organist at First Church of Christ, Scientist in Fort Lauderdale and as piano accompanist for The Girl Choir of South Florida. She teaches piano privately in Fort Lauderdale and specializes in the Taubman piano technique, which facilitates virtuosity and prevents repetitive motion injuries.
